AGRICULTURAL & HORTICULTURAL COMPETITION

The yearly Denbigh Agricultural & Horticultural Competition is a show on how the parishes and their JAS members contribute to compete with other farmers from different parishes to win prizes and trophies, this includes the showing off of Flowers, Ground Provisions, Clothing Textile, Apiary Exhibits, Roots & Tubes, Vegetables, Tobacco, Grains & Nuts, Citrus, Sugar & Sugar Cane, Fruits Solar Dried, Starches, Homemade Products such as: Stick Bammy, Banana Bread, Breadfruit Chips, Cassava Bread and many other, Preserved Meats & Eggs, Pickles, Sauces Preserves, Wine, Vinegar, etc., Furniture, Leather Goods made by Farmers and of course Handicrafts, Needlework, School Exhibits by our young farmers and Tinware.

We also display Horticulture cut flowers, Foliage plants in container, Flowering plants in containers and Floral Arrangements.

We have the Parish Pavilion Judged by our Judges, this competition is for the demonstration of Agricultural Development through the use of available Human and Physical Resource within the each Parish:

THE WINNING PARISH WILL RECEIVE THE RUDOLPH BURKE TROPHY TO PROUDLY DISPLAY AT THERE PARISH OFFICE FOR THE YEAR.

THE OVERALL WINNER WHICH INCLUDES THE PARISH PAVILION AND THE GENERAL EXHIBITS WILL RECEIVE THE PERCIVAL ALWYN BROODERICK SNR TO PRODLY DISPLAY AT THERE PARISH OFFICE FOR THE YEAR.
